About Us

THE BEGINNING
Autumn Trails Stable was started by Angela Stan in 2016 because she knew Clark County, Springfield, Ohio specifically, needed a therapeutic riding program. Our first session included 7 students and the volunteers consisted of a few family members and friends. In 2018, we served 73 participants with special needs and have grown to a volunteer family of over 80 individuals. We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization that offers equine-assisted services to individuals with special needs.

OUR MISSION
We strive to nurture the full potential of individuals in our community through the therapeutic power of horses.

OUR VISION
We will be a transformative center serving our community in a collaborative, professional and encouraging environment that brings together medical and recreational models with the healing power of the human-equine bond to make the impossible become possible for everyone we serve.

OUR VALUES
INCLUSION
We celebrate our differences. We believe everyone belongs at Autumn Trails Stable, and everyone deserves to know what it is like to be accepted.
GROWTH
We embrace growth and humbly learn from our mistakes. We take risks and are comfortable with change, because our work is never done. Until our vision is realized, and even beyond, we will continue to get better.
SAFETY
We believe every person who experiences Autumn Trails Stable, from the students and their families to our volunteers and staff. There are no shortcuts!
PROFESSIONALISM
We will conduct ourselves in a manner that will uphold the highest values and credibility of our industry.
COLLABORATION
We recognize that we do not exist in a vacuum. We seek to collaborate with others in our community so that we can all accomplish more for those we serve.
GOOD STEWARDSHIP
We conduct our business with integrity, accountability, and open, timely communication. We are committed to quality and excellence in all we do for all we serve.
