PROGRAM FAQ's
Why did Autumn Trails Stable develop Bridging Hearts & Horses?
Autumn Trails Stable developed Bridging Hearts & Horses to create a trauma-informed mentorship structure that meets the specific needs and referral pathways within our local community.
Will you still serve foster and adopted youth?
Yes. Foster and adopted youth remain an important part of the population we serve. They are now included within a broader group of youth with complex trauma.
What makes Bridging Hearts & Horses different?
Bridging Hearts & Horses is designed for longer-term, relationship-based engagement. It emphasizes consistency, readiness, and trauma-informed pacing for both youth and horses.
Is Autumn Trails Stable still the organization providing care?
Yes. Autumn Trails Stable remains the home, steward, and accountability structure for this work.
How do you determine which youth you can serve?
We assess readiness, safety, and fit on an individual basis. Serving all youth does not mean serving every situation. Ethical boundaries protect youth, horses, and the integrity of the program.
Why is monthly support important now?
Trauma-informed work cannot be episodic. Horses require daily care, and youth benefit from consistency. Monthly support allows us to plan responsibly and avoid disruption.
